Welcome to my Animation theater!

Robot Rebellion

This was a fun project that took all kinds of ideas and smaller projects and merged them all together into one big video. The robot (Cyman) was a cross between a Cylon and Megaman, which progressed from pencil design to sculpture to fully rigged model in just a few weeks. He then trashed the city from the Batman video and moved into a fancy Deer Run cabin.

Deer Run

Deer Run In my first ArchViz course using 3ds Max, we were given a rough blueprint of a small cabin and asked to 'bring it to life'. As usual, I went overboard with detail and ended up learning quite a bit more about 3D modeling in general. I spent as much time on the assets inside the cabin as I did on the cabin itself. I also played quite a bit with lighting and shadowing on this peice, which I really enjoyed.

Alien Abduction

This was a fun animation I did for a Photoshop texturing class. The assignment was to highlight special-effects texturing, such as the alien tractor-beams, the glowing finger, the shotgun blasts and the bullet holes. The whiskey bottles, stills and the Hummer were all modeled and textured by Jacob Poulette, whose work you can find here.

Fitting In

Boxey Here is an early short animation where I was told to give a simple box some emotional animations. While this is a simple project, I think it was a good lesson in animation, because evey story should ultimately be about emotion.

Plastic Toys

Another fun short. In my first 3D class, the professor brought in some toys for us to recreate, which was great for early introduction to ploygonal modelling. After that, the assignment was to animate the rotation of the wheels on the bus. You know, to make them go round and round.

Cyman Returns

Beam Up I modelled out a Star Trek styled transporter for another project, and then I just had to throw in my robot and play with particles and such in 3ds Max. Yes, this is self-indulgence. No, I don't care.

Missouri State University - WP

This is a quick fly through of the Arch Viz project that was done part way through the production of the models. The Chancellor of the West Plains campus was checking up on us, and was happy with the results.
